Medical Care
Health & Wellness Services
At St. Mary’s, we recognize that physical and emotional well-being are closely connected. To support the overall health of every youth in our care, comprehensive medical and behavioral health services are available on campus.
Our team includes a full-time Medical Coordinator, and a psychiatrist visits weekly to provide behavioral health support. St. Mary’s also partners with Randall Children’s Primary Care for the care of each client.
Health Evaluations
Upon admission, each resident receives a health screening, including screening for communicable diseases.
Within 60 days of admission, a pediatric provider completes a comprehensive physical examination. A health profile is then developed in collaboration with medical and behavioral health professionals and maintained as part of the client’s care record. Health records are updated throughout a client’s stay and shared with approved aftercare providers when appropriate.
Hearing and Vision Care
Community healthcare professionals provide hearing and vision screenings, along with any recommended follow-up care.
Dental Services
Residents receive routine dental screenings and restorative dental care through local providers. Orthodontic services may also be available when funding resources allow.
General Medical Care
Routine and emergency healthcare services are available 24 hours a day through St. Mary’s staff, community healthcare providers, and local hospitals.
