Mental Health Outpatient Services

General:
St. Mary’s Home for Boys has contracted with coordinated care organizations to provide outpatient mental health services to our residents. All boys at St. Mary’s are scheduled for a Mental Health Assessment within their first 30 days of treatment. Boys given a DSM V diagnosis become eligible for mental health services.

Purpose:
To provide our boys with additional services to meet their treatment needs. This is accomplished through group, individual, and family therapy. Consultants are also available to provide specific assessments based on the boy’s individual needs. A contracted psychiatrist provides medical management and consultation for the boys.

Standard Group therapy includes the following groups:

  • Survivors of abuse
  • Mood management
  • Mindfulness
  • Grief and Loss
  • Depression

The Mental Health Team:
The team is composed of the Program Director and full-time and part-time therapists. All members are Masters level professionals trained to facilitate groups in their area of expertise.
